I Made Some Drawers For My Car

I made some drawers for camping in my car. They’re light so they can go in and out easily and because I didn’t want to load the car up too much.

They’re 1.4m long (none of the photos show the drawers pulled out the full length) and you can sleep on top of them with a simple bed extension.

They’ve even got some art on the end.

I wanted to use all available space seeing as the car’s not too big so there’s no drawer slides (expensive and large for the 1.4m length here), instead there’s inset HDPE skids. I also CNCed finger joints instead of using butt joints with a backer for screwing into for the same reason. First test went well. I like them so far.
